Introduction

ST3AM is an Erasmus+ co-funded project addressing gender discrimination in STEM fields, where women are underrepresented, comprising only 28% of researchers. The gender gap is driven by bias, not a lack of skills. Promoting gender equality in STEM is crucial for achieving Sustainable Development Goals and boosting economic growth. ST3AM aims to increase female participation in STEM, potentially raising EU GDP by 3% by 2050.

We work on the ST3AM project, to integrate arts into STEM education. Through this, we create gender-sensitive curricula, develop creative teaching methods, and provide tools to inspire innovation, inclusivity, and leadership.

Innovation Hive is a private non-profit organization located in Greece, specialized in the fields of research and innovation. Our actions aim to enhance the economic and social cohesion of European societies while our goal is to find solutions to the new innovation challenges, achieve growth, sustainability and maximize the impact to the society. The organization’s philosophy in order to achieve these goals is based on co-creation methodologies and a quadruple helix approach. USN Employ 1,900 people and offer education to about 17,000 students. We provide profession- and business-oriented educational programmes, research, and knowledge dissemination that adhere to international standards. Our students can choose from full-time, part-time, on-campus, and online learning options. We offer over 300 bachelor’s and master’s degree courses, including 'business bachelor' and 'industry master' degrees that combine studies with paid work. Additionally, USN provides doctoral (PhD) study programmes in six subject fields and several supplementary and further education programmes for those who may be looking for re-training opportunities or want to build on their existing qualifications. At USN, you will encounter challenging study programmes and innovative teaching approaches that align with the demands of businesses and society. USN spans three Norwegian counties, with campuses in Bø, Drammen, Horten, Kongsberg, Notodden, Porsgrunn, Ringerike, and Rauland. In 2024 we opened a ninth location in Gol, Hallingdal. USN was created from the merger of several university colleges. The University College of Buskerud and Vestfold merged with the University College of Telemark on 1st January 2016. We were granted university status by Royal Decree on 4th May 2018. Today, USN is headed by Pia Cecilie Bing-Jonsson.

Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) is a classical (comprehensive) university. The University is a member of European Universities Association, Transform4Europe universities consorcium which consist of 11 universities. VMU provides 92 bachelor level, 78 master level and 23 PhD level study programs. VMU has an extensive partnership network with about 400 research institutions from around the world, carries out international projects, exchanges students and staff, and is a leader in the Baltic States in terms of the internationalization of teachers.

The University of West Attica, despite its recent establishment (2018), originates from three historical and dynamic educational and research entities in the region of Attica, the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences and the National School of Public Health. It consists of 6 Schools (School of Public Health, School of Administrative, Economics & Social Sciences, School of Food Sciences, School of Health and Care Sciences, School of Applied Arts and Culture and School of Engineering) and 27 Departments covering a vast variety of scientific fields. The CFD Laboratory of the University of West Attica (UNIWA) operates within a multidisciplinary academic environment that integrates arts, economics, engineering, and applied sciences. Our team combines expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), research, innovation and training material development. We continuously explore emerging technologies and new research territories, fostering innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

POLITECHNIKA LODZKA 🇵🇱 Partner

The Lodz University of Technology (TUL) is a polytechnic university founded in 1945. The university is authorised to award the following professional titles: Master of Engineering, Master of Engineering in Architecture, Engineer, Engineer in Architecture, Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree. It awards doctoral and postdoctoral degrees in 12 academic disciplines. PŁ employs academic staff in the following positions: professor, university professor, senior lecturer, assistant lecturer, lecturer and instructor. PŁ is the only technical university in the region and one of the largest in the country. It has 9 faculties. The academic programme comprises 69 degree programmes and postgraduate courses. The university has an International Education Centre, where courses are taught in English and French. The University also has an Interdisciplinary Doctoral School, which trains doctoral students under a single joint programme comprising 12 study pathways across 4 scientific fields. To strengthen its research capacity, TUL seeks external funding by participating in EC calls. 23 international projects are underway under the 2021–2027 financial perspective, with a total budget of EUR 7.6 million. In the Horizon Europe, TUL ranks among leading technical universities in Poland.
